The Prosecutor's Proposal
When the son of a murder victim and the son of the man blamed for his death reunite as prosecutor and investigator, will chasing the truth bring them closer or tear them apart?
Fifteen years ago, the murder of a wealthy casino mogul changed two young boys' lives forever. One grew up mourning his murdered father, while the other spent his life carrying the stigma of being a killer's son. Years later, their paths cross again when Lee Chae Ha begins working as an investigator and finds himself partnered with prosecutor Ju Tae Seon.
What starts as an uneasy relationship soon pulls them into an old murder case filled with buried secrets, corruption and connections that hit much closer to home than either of them expected. And somewhere between chasing suspects and uncovering the truth, their complicated relationship begins turning into something neither of them planned.
My Review….
I honestly enjoyed The Prosecutor's Proposal. The mystery was decent enough to keep me watching, but for me, the highlight was definitely the chemistry between the leads because these two were seriously on fire together! I just wish the drama had given their relationship a little more time to breathe.
Some of the emotional developments, especially them falling for each other and later the forgiveness between them, happened quite suddenly, almost as though the story skipped a step or two along the way. Because of that, a few moments that should have felt really emotional did not come across as naturally as they could have. I think a longer runtime would have helped a lot here. That being said, their chemistry made the relationship incredibly enjoyable to watch, and combined with the murder mystery and all the secrets connecting their pasts, the drama still managed to keep me entertained until the end.
As always, whether you stream or skip is entirely up to you!
Story Line: 8/10
The originality of the plot: I liked the combination of an old murder mystery, corruption within the prosecution and a romance between two men whose lives are tied to opposite sides of the same tragedy. The premise gave the usual office romance a much darker and more interesting backdrop.
Acting of main protagonists: The chemistry between the leads is great.
Ending: Happy
